Final (Pre-Occupancy) Inspections

A Final (Pre-Occupancy) Inspection is a comprehensive inspection of a substantially complete new home before you move in. We evaluate accessible structural components, roofing, electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling systems, fixtures and appliances. Our report documents concerns for you to discuss with your builder.

Utilities should be on, fixtures and appliances should be installed, and the builder should confirm that the home is ready for inspection. When practical, schedule before your builder orientation so you can bring the report to that meeting. This independent inspection complements the builder’s and municipality’s inspections.
